The Service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.

 

Showing the Error Message "The Service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion". while Starting or Restarting WDS (Windows Deployment Services) on Windows Server 2008


Solution:

Step1: Take RUN and type CMD

Step2: Type following command

           wdsutil /set-server /usedhcpports:no /dhcpoption60:yes

Step3: Start WDS service .

Now we can see the  message "Successsfully Started Windows Deployment Services"
